With your cells strung together, the next thing to do is position the leads of your panel. Using the same method you used to connect one string to another, solder your bus wire together at every change of direction and map your bus wire to where your junction box is. Make sure to leave some extra bus wire on the ends because you aren’t done.
If you have connected your strings together directly on the glass as suggested, it is advantageous at this point to secure some spacers directly on to the glass with silicone.
The spacers ensure that the cells aren’t damaged when you put the plexi-glass backing on it.
