Attaching Components to Your DIY Solar AC Unit

This stage is pretty simple. At this point you install all of the components. Just to make sure you are getting the best results out of your cooler, it is wise to use a silicone sealant to seal off all of the cuts you made in the cooler. This will keep the ice cool longer.

This is also where you want to make sure that the wires that power your fan are easily accessible. I left the harness on my fan wires and made a harness that would connect the negative and positive wires to that.

By doing this, I can connect the wires to a power source, and use the harness itself as if it were a plug and outlet.
