Spatial Orientation to Maximize Capture of Solar Energy
Whether using passive or active solar energy, one of the basic fundamentals is the proper positioning and orientation of whatever is capturing the sun's rays (a window, wall, solar panel, etc.). Obviously, a solar panel is not as efficient in the shade as it would be in direct sunlight.
